Some of Leah's Firsts

First Bath at Home -- July 1o, 2008

She was excited for her first bath at home.


She wasn't too excited about the washing part because the poor thing was getting chilly. BUT...she LOVES to have her hair washed. Jeff took a video of her first bath at the hospital and she instantly stopped crying as soon as they ran her hair under the faucet. She did the same thing at home. Her umbilical cord fell off Tuesday night so we are looking forward to being able to give her an actual "in the water" bath instead of just washing her off.

We made it! It tuckered her out.

First Pediatrician Appointment -- July 11, 2008

Leah had her one week check-up with her pediatrician, Dr. Freeman, on July 11th. She put on a pretty pink dress for the adventure.

She is doing very well and growing, growing, growing. She was 7 lbs 1 oz. when she was born and 6 lbs 8 oz. at discharge from the hospital on July 8th. By the 11th, she was up to 6 lbs, 13 oz. Needless to say, she loves to eat!

This scale says 6 lbs 10 oz. but that the "official" scale said 6 lbs 13 oz. This picture was taken right before she peed all over the place.
