Sleeping Beauty

She does have legs, she just likes to sleep like a frog. She was in her downstairs pack n play. It was the 1st time I let her sleep on her belly. I stayed in the room and got so much done because she slept for 2 hours!Finnigan is sharing her boppy. I was working on the couch and she was ready for bed. I laid her on the boppy to put up the computer but she didn't budge. I do believe I carried her upstairs and put her in bed and didn't hear a peep for several more hours.

For the love of a belly button.............

A thumb in her mouth and a hand playing with her belly button -- that is Leah's tired pose. She has switched to wearing only 2 piece pajamas and we are sure to unzip or unsnap any belly button covering articles of clothing before naps. This picture was taken just before bedtime. She came over and asked me to unsnap the onesie part and then laid down on the floor.

Exhausted!

Leah sleeps like a monkey.....the bed rails have saved her from an abrupt awakening several times and will be staying up for awhile.Up until a couple weeks ago, Leah very rarely slept in the car. Her energy level has increased (yes, evidently that is possible) and she crashes! I added Violet under her chin this time to help her stay upright. Hanging face forward just didn't look too comfortable.
Now this is tired.....her hand was still in her snack cup.

Another Birthday Celebration!

We also celebrated Leah's birthday with Mamaw, Papaw, Uncle Ron, Aunt Jess, Aunt Linda, Uncle Jeff, Great Grandma Shanks and Great Grandma Shirley. Papaw had just had surgery and was supposed to stay in his recliner but he isn't a very good patient (but a great papaw). Leah was determined that he was going to pick her up. They compromised.
Leah now has a shopping cart full of food to cook in her kitchen!
Hi Aunt Linda!

Leah and the boys.....

Leah always has fun playing with Ethan and Connor at the Garber's.

The best medicine!

Papaw had to have emergency surgery to get rid of some kidney stones. The doctors were a big help in the process but grandbabies really are the best medicine.

Birthday with the Sedberry's

We originally felt bad not having a formal party this year but I don't think Leah is complaining! She was able to party with each set of grandparents and have 3 different parties. In typical Sedberry style, this one involved ice cream cake!Uncle Jason got her a set of Baby Einstein sound books. One of the buttons is supposed to sound like the voice of the dinosaur but it is more like a "BLAH". Leah thought it was hilarious and kept pushing it saying BLAHHHH. It was all downhill once she realized we were laughing at her.
Grandma and Grandpa got her some utensils to go with her kitchen. As soon as she opened the tongs, she used them to grab grandpa's nose!

2 year photo shoot

The photographer asked us what he could do to make her immobile for a few minutes. Talk about a funny question! We explained that Leah has 2 speeds 1) full throttle and 2) sound asleep and since we wanted her awake for the pictures, he got full throttle (hence the dancing pictures).

Birthday Party Time!

Gramps, Grams, Aunt Jewel and Aunt Jessie came down to celebrate Leah's birthday. It was perfect for her, she loves to be the center of attention!

One of her favorite presents was a punch balloon. Gramps and I were playing keep away with her. She cracked up every time it went over her head. She is a very appreciative little girl. She tries on her clothes when she gets them. She was especially fond of her new hooded sweatshirts. This one was from her great grandma Ache.
Kisses for Gramps. He tries to be the big strong guy but she has figured out how to soften him up :)
Playing with her new chalk with Aunt Jewel. They must have been working on a masterpiece.
Kisses all around!
Wearing Gramps' hat
This was Grams' compromise to Leah's persistence on having her sit with her on the play mat.

Date with dad and mom

Leah has done very good with her new little sister. She hasn't shown a lot of jealousy but has made sure we don't forget about her :). We want to make sure that we spend time with both girls and Leah doesn't feel left out. Aunt Jessie came down to spend the day when she returned from the Philippines and was willing to cuddle Mallory for a couple hours so we could spend some daddy/mommy time with just Leah.
We had a picnic at the park then went to the Splash Pad. (The picnic was a last minute addition so it was Burger King) I think Jeff and I had as much fun as she did. We love watching her laugh and she did a lot of it!
