Stuffy nose update

Leah is feeling much better. She is still a bit stuffy but her fever is gone. YAY! She is such an easy-going baby. She doesn’t even mind when we put the saline drops in her nose or when we use the nose sucker. I am very thankful for that.

Did you hear about the recent study that said fans in a nursery can help to reduce the risk of SIDS? I am not sure of all of the details but the reports sound pretty credible. Even if it does not reduce the risk as much as they say, any reduction at all is reason enough for me to try it. We already planned to put an air purifier in her room. The reasoning behind the fans is air circulation and her new purifier works to do that as well. It is amazing that we are already running out of space in her room. We will need to do some rearranging once she is mobile and needs floor space to play.

I have more pictures coming soon. I tried to upload the pumpkin pictures the other night but had a few computer issues. I will end this post with a quick little funny about our little drama queen. Leah spit up this morning on the way to the babysitter. Leah is a professional “spitter-upper” so it was a doosy. It resulted in one of her arms being completely soaked. I dropped her off at Tanya’s just as they were ready to walk to the bus stop with Ethan. I mentioned the spit-up and that she would need her clothes changed. A little while later Tanya called asking when Leah had eaten last because she had been crying since I left. Nothing would soothe her, not cuddling, not playing, not her pacifier. (Of course my initial thought was --- oh, she misses her mommy). Nope. I asked if she had changed her clothes. They had just gotten back from the bus stop so she hadn’t. Bingo! She called back a little while later and said Leah started smiling as soon as she laid her down to take off her clothes. I can picture the future now……..I know one little girl that may be a little dramatic about getting dirty. You just can’t help but laugh when she gives you that big cheek to cheek toothless grin!
