Christmas with the Cox's

After we had Christmas morning at our house, we headed to Gas City for Christmas with the Cox family.

Ron thought he was hilarious after wrapping my gift in maximum strength duct tape! I told him I felt special that he took the time and energy to do it. It was worth a good laugh. Caelen and Savana were being extremely patient in the background....Ron played elf and mine was the first gift.

Jeff opened one of Leah's new shirts for her. It says "A good daddy is hard to find but the couch is a good place to start looking". How fitting!

Caelen really liked his police hat! Savana's favorite toy was the Backyardigan's circus.

The kiddos were getting tired!

And this one was almost out.....a few snuggles with her glow worm from Uncle Ron and Aunt Jess and she was out about 2 minutes later.

Mamaw liked her picture of the grandkids.

She is getting so big! She decided it was time for her to hold her own bottle.

We took Leah to the nursing home to meet her Great Great Grandpa Ernie. Grandpa will be 93 in March. We just lost Great Grandma this past Spring so we wanted to make sure he had an extra special Christmas.

When we arrived, he was in the cafeteria getting ready for dinner so we took her down to see him. Oh how other residents loved her! They all wanted us to stop at their tables so they could see her. There is something very touching about seeing the elderly with the young. We talked him into going back to the room to visit. It didn't take much convincing when dinner from somewhere else was offered. He got a Whopper from Burger King!

She looks pretty dazed in this picture but it is just the picture. She spent a good 15 minutes on his lap giving him huge smiles! He was lit up like I have not seen in a long time.
