Happy Halloween!

Jeff and I had a lot of fun with Leah on her first Halloween! There were so many cute costume ideas but we just couldn't pass up her costume when we saw it. She was a PEA POD! As you know, she has had the nickname of "the bean" since our first ultrasound when she looked like a kidney bean. A pea pod was as close as we could get.

We took her to Gas City for trick or treating and did what we call "speed visiting" with some of the family we have there. There were many more places we wanted to take her but could only make it to so many places before bedtime. If we missed you, sorry!

I had no idea that it would be such wonderful weather on Friday night! Unfortunately, Leah had a warm outfit so we did a lot of in and out of it as the evening went on. As I have said many times -- she is very easy going. At one point I was laughing at her as she let me put the costume on her yet again and I said "Leah....don't you even care that mommy is dressing you like a vegetable?!" She just smiled at me.

I did something very uncharacteristic of me.......I forgot my camera! Thankfully my mom loaned me hers for the night. I will borrow it again soon and transfer all of the pictures so I can post them on here. In the meantime, you can enjoy this one that I took on my phone. It was taken a little over half way through the night when we stopped by to see Grams, Gramps, Aunt Jewel and Aunt Jessie. She passed out while Aunt Jessie was holding her and then slept through her visit with Aunt Jewel. It must have been a power nap because she was up soon and ready for more trick or treating!
