Welcome Home Aunt Jewel and Aunt Jessie

Mallory was born mere hours before Aunt Jessie left for the Philippines and Aunt Jewel left for Africa. Needless to say, she had changed quite a bit by the time they returned over 7 weeks later.

Aunt Jewel flew into Fort Wayne so we weren't able to greet her at the airport but we went to see her the next day.

Aunt Jessie flew into the Indy airport. We stretched Leah's bedtime so she could have her 1st adventure to the airport to greet Aunt Jessie. It was our 1st trip inside the new airport and I was quite impressed.Greeting Aunt Jessie:

We had our very own intercultural experience with one of Jessie's souvenirs. One of her new favorite things is a fruit called a Tamarind. It looks a lot worse than it is. You break off the outer shell to find a sticky fruit inside. The best thing I can think to compare it to is a really sweet golden raisin....not bad!

Eventually the fun was too much for Leah. Once her thumb is in her mouth and her other hand is playing with her belly button, closed eyes are not too far behind.
